Trinidad Espinal set a new national record in Water skiing slalom

During her participation in the Fun Tastic tournament carried out in Lago Valle Maipo in San Bernardo, the athlete avoided four buoys in 11,25 meters, an unprecedented record in the history of this discipline in Chile.


Female Water skiing has a new record in our country since last Sunday, March 19th. The national athlete, Trinidad Espinal, made a great routine in which broke a record in the slalom category while participating in the Fun Tastic tournament developed in Lago Valle Maipo, San Bernardo.

Thus, after avoiding four buoys in 11,25 meters, the soon to be a 16 year old athlete established a new record. This way, Espinal broke the record held by Valentina González, Daniela Kretschmer, and herself, after avoiding three buoys in 11,25 meters.

With such an important milestone, Trinidad confirmed her amazing start of the year, after her outstanding participation in the World Junior Waterski Championship carried out in Chile, during last January. In that moment, the athlete achieved to be among the tournament finalists.

NAUTICAL SKI IN SANTIAGO 2023

The Water skiing competition of the Pan American Games next October will be held in Laguna Los Morros, located in the San Bernardo district, 25 kilometers to the south of the center of Santiago. The development of such a sport is scheduled between October 21st and 24th.

This discipline counts with the Chilean athlete that has won the largest quantity of Pan American medals in history, Felipe Miranda. He has won seven medals during his four participations in the multisport festival of the Americas: 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze.
