Asunción will be in the spotlight for the whole continent again. After being the host of the XII version of the 2022 South American Games, this past Wednesday, March 15th, the capital of Paraguay has been officialized to be the host of the 2025 Junior Pan American Games.
After leaving a good impression in terms of organization last year, Panam Sports decided to give another chance to “The Mother of Cities.” This way, Asunción will host the second edition of this event, focused on the younger talent of the region. The first version took place in Cali, Colombia, in 2021.
The announcement was made at the Palacio de Gobierno de Asunción and was attended by the President of Paraguay Mario Abdo, the President of Panam Sports Neven Ilic, among other sports-related authorities from the country.
On this occasion, Neven Ilic said: “I’m sure that, just like the 2022 South American Games, this event will be successful and will be a turning point for sports in Paraguay.”
