Santiago 2023 reveals the official balls for collective sports of the Pan American and Parapan American Games

The Molten brand equipment was presented in the iconic Casillero del Diablo winery, sponsor of our multisport events.

The Pan American and Parapan American Games are closer and closer, and the details of the most important multisport event of our country have already been revealed with the unveiling of the collective sports balls models that will be present in the competition.

In a ceremony that took place during last Thursday at the Viña Concha y Toro, located in Pirque, the matrix house of the sponsor Casillero del Diablo, it was revealed the equipment designs that will be used for conventional sports such as handball, basketball, volleyball, and beach volleyball, and adapted disciplines such as wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.

The president of the Chilean Olympic Committee, Miguel Ángel Mujica, highlighted the agreement between these strategic alliances. “These milestones are great news, not only because of the importance of the sponsor brands, but also due to the importance of both public and private actors working together to support sports.”

In addition, the president of the Chilean Paralympic Committee, Sebastián Villavicencio, added that “we’re proud because the Paralympic world keeps growing, so counting with first level alliances is key to the development of the Games and also for our daily work.”

Moreover, the Chief Executive Officer of the Games, Gianna Cunazza, expressed her satisfaction for such relevant brands’ support to the Santiago 2023 Corporation. “This is a relevant activity and I would like to express my gratitude to Molten and Casillero del Diablo to support this project and this family because supporting the Games means supporting our country.”


JAPANESE TECHNOLOGY WITH WORLDWIDE PRESTIGE

Molten, a Japanese company represented in Chile by Barlovento SA, will join the Santiago 2023 Games, an event of worldwide magnitude. This company has worked before with the UEFA Europa League, the World’s Handball Championship, and the FIBA Basketball World Cup, and as a local level with national tournaments organized by the ANFP.

“It’s a privilege being part of one of the most important sporting events in the history of our country,” stated the general manager of the brand in Chile, Marcelo Meyer.

The Casillero del Diablo Global Marketing Manager and host of the launch event, Sebastián Aguirre, indicated that “we have always supported and been related to sports. We’ve proposed ourselves to be present in the most important events that are developed in our country.”

In the balls launch event, in Pirque, also participated several Santiago 2023 executives along with the following athletes: Javier Frelijj and Gabriella Muller (handball); Joaquín Pino (basketball); Antonia Andaur (basketball 3x3); Catalina Núñez and Esteban Villareal (volleyball); Tomás González, Antonella Mora, and Viviana Urretaviscaya (beach volleyball), and the Para athletes: Martina Olivos and Nicolás Moya (wheelchair basketball).

The Pan American Games will be carried out from October 20th to November 5th and will join nearly 7 thousand athletes from 41 nations, and the Parapan American will be developed between November 17th and 26th, and there will be nearly 2 thousand Para athletes from 33 countries.
