It is official! Last week, the Santiago 2023 Corporation confirmed its partnership with Lotus-Balich to be in charge of the opening and closing ceremonies of our Pan American and Parapan American Games.

Both these companies have vast experience in the area: while Balich is known for the Río 2016 Olympic Games ceremonies, the inauguration of the last World Cup, Qatar 2022, the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games, and the closing ceremony of the Sochi 2018 Paralympic Games, Lotus has been in charge of the organization of the most notable national and international music festivals, such as Lollapalooza and Cirque du Soleil.
Welcome, Lotus-Balich to Santiago 2023, the biggest multisport event to ever take place in the history of this country!
In October and November, we will receive 8,000 plus athletes and Para athletes from all over the Americas. We also expect to receive over 100,000 tourists and the event broadcast will reach over 200 million viewers.

CONTRACT SIGNING
On Friday, February 24th, the partnership was signed. For this occasion, both Martín Rivera, the New Business Manager at the events producer, Lotus, and the executive team of the Corporation were present.
The Pan American and Parapan American Games #Santiago2023 will take place from October 20th to November 26th in four different regions of the country: Metropolitan, Valparaíso, O’Higgins, and Biobío. Don’t miss the biggest event in the Americas!
