Last Sunday finished the fourth date of the South American Beach Volleyball Circuit carried out in the sands of Parque Peñalolén; this tournament was a qualifier for the Pan American Games and the Mexico 2023 Beach Volleyball World Championship. This event had the participation of the best 14 female and male duos of the region.
The Chilean duos obtained positive results during the tournament, even when they were already qualified for the Games as hosts, both male and female. This event included an unprecedented final between Grimalt cousins and the duo Noé Aravena - Vicente Droguett in male side.
Finally, Esteban and Marco Grimalt won 2 sets to 1: 21-18, 16-21 and 15-12; this way, they won their second trophy of the season in the circuit after winning the opening date played in Rancagua. On the other side, the podium was completed by the Brazilian team conformed by Gustavo Carvalhaes and Heitor Barbosa.
BRAZIL CELEBRATED IN THE FEMALE COMPETITION
In the female competition, the final presented two duos from the same country: Brazil. In resume, Ana Luiza and Carol Horta won the gold after defeating their compatriots Andressa Cavalcanti and Vitoria de Souza by two sets to one (23-21, 17-21 and 15-11).

This event was attended by the Chilean Minister of Sports, Alexandra Benado, who spoke about the importance of the organization of an event of this magnitude, with less than eight months for the beginning of the Pan American and Parapan American Games.
The Minister indicated that “this is the previous event for the Pan American Games in one of our most famous sports. I’m very glad with the great organization by the Chilean Volleyball Federation along with the Ministry of Sports. We had an unprecedented male final between both Chilean duos, so we are really happy.”
The male ranking of the circuit was led by Argentina, Brazil and Chile, all of them in first place with 700 points over Venezuela (510) and Ecuador (435). On the other hand, the female ranking was led by Brazil with 800 points, then comes Paraguay (680), Chile (620), Argentina (510) and Ecuador (500).
