All the continent is buzzing with the Pan American and Parapan American Games! With less than 254 days until the inauguration of Santiago 2023 the sporting atmosphere is already beginning to be felt in various parts of the region.
In this sense, since this past Tuesday, February 7th, an important milestone in the countdown on our way to the largest multisport festival of the Americas is being marked, because for the second consecutive year, and thanks to an alliance between the Santiago 2023 Corporation, Sernatur, Sport's Ministry and Tourism Under-secretariat , one of our promotional videos is being broadcast in Times Square, New York, the most famous street corner of the world.
In the intersection of Broadway and 7th Ave, in the center of Manhattan, passersby that walk along during the following days will be able to see it and get into the spirit of the Games. All of this is part of the previous preparation of what’s coming in our country.

Juan Carlos Chamy, Commercial, Marketing and Communications Director of Santiago 2023, commented about this event that “with little time left for the competitions to start, we are very proud to have once again reached such an important place in the world as Times Square. For the following months, our objective is to be in the largest quantity of spaces and achieve that every street corner of the continent knows that the Games are coming.”
The Pan American and Parapan American Games will gather more than 9 thousand athletes and para athletes between October 20th and November 25th. This will become the largest multisport event developed in Chile to date, which will gather 41 countries from the American continent and 39 sporting competitions, several of them will provide direct quotas for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
