Wheelchair basketball will have a new national champion and two upgraded teams. In the city of Los Ángeles, Bío-Bío Region, will be disputed the final dates of the 2022 Leagues of First and Second Divisions.
In the series of honor, Cruz del Sur team (from Puerto Montt), Lobos del Bosque (from the capital and last champion in 2018), Alpos and Los Dominicos will seek to win the maximum national title in a quadrangular that will be disputed this weekend in the Gimnasio Polideportivo de Los Ángeles.
The promotion series, meanwhile, in the same scenario, will be disputed in another quadrangular that will be played during the same days by Cruz del Sur B, AB de Temuco, CD Valdivia and Los Leones de Lo Espejo. In this series, the winners of the semifinals will obtain quotas to play next year in the First Division.

“We are very satisfied with the development of these leagues because due to the pandemic we haven't played since 2018. This year wheelchair basketball came back full and we have had an intense year that we will crown with the final quadrangular in Los Ángeles”, indicated Francisco Rojas, President of the Chilean Paralympic Basketball Federation.
The 2022 National Wheelchair Basketball League started last June with eight teams in the First Division and nine in the Second Division. To date, 12 dates have been played in the cities of Valparaíso, Santiago, Curicó, Concepción, Los Ángeles, Temuco, Valdivia and Puerto Montt.
This discipline is part of the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games program that will be carried out between November 18th and 25th at the Polideportivo 1 of the Parque Estadio Nacional.
