The #Santiago2023 Education Program is still expanding through Chile, reaching different areas of the country in which the Pan American and Parapan American Games will be hosted.
This time, Valparaíso was one of the districts where students from 7th and 8th grade enjoyed a morning filled with sports and new learnings.
With the contribution of seven representatives of blind football, the students learned about the execution of the sports, the rules of a match, and the balls used, as well as how to use the goggles worn by the players during the competition.
Bernardita Santis, principal of the establishment, highlighted the event and said that “is very important that our students have this kind of approach. We are very proud and happy for our teachers who were interested in the program. It was an exciting opportunity, going from the emotional to the educational.”

It is very gratifying to share with young people and the community. It is the ideal path to follow, from training, so as to have a more inclusive society through sport.”
This pilot implementation will continue to be used in educational establishments, encouraging the legacy and participation of the community prior to Santiago2023, with the aim of promoting the sustainable development, inclusion, and Pan American and Parapan American sports.
