Brazil Displays Power and Advances to Blind Football Final

The South American team was required to defeat Peru by a large margin to advance to the gold medal match, and they did just that at Santiago 2023.

Thursday, November 23rd, 2023.- There are teams that feel the pressure when they have to win by a specific result to achieve a goal, but that wasn't the case for Brazil, which demonstrated its greatness to reach the final of Blind Football at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games.

In the first match, the Colombians caused an upset by defeating Argentina 1-0, securing a spot in the gold medal match. This meant that the Brazilians had to win by at least four goals against Peru to advance, and they ultimately sealed a 5-0 victory.

Brazil accomplished the task in the first half, scoring four goals, with a hat-trick from Ricardo Alves (6', 9', and 11') and a goal from Tiago Da Silva (10').

With only three minutes remaining until the final whistle, Jeferson Santos sealed the definitive result.

Brazil will play in the grand final against Colombia this Saturday, starting at 8:00 p.m, while Argentina will compete for the bronze.
