Thursday, November 23rd, 2023.- With conviction, Mexican Claudia Romero secured her place in the final of Para taekwondo at the Parapan American Games by defeating Cuban Lilisbet Rodríguez 17-1 on Thursday morning at the Centro de Deportes de Contacto at the Estadio Nacional.

Her opponent in the afternoon session will be Peruvian Leonor Espinoza, who defeated Brazilian Teresinha Correia 22-6.

Claudia Romero mentioned, "I was somewhat nervous about this match, and I feel thrilled to reach the final."

"In the semifinal, I was able to control my nerves to follow my coach's instructions, and now we need to focus on what's coming to hopefully win the gold medal."
