Argentina Defeats Canada in CP Football and Nurtures Hopes

The South American team had a perfect day against the North Americans in La Florida.

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.- Argentina aims to win a medal in CP Football, and this Wednesday made it very clear that they are one of the contenders, as they overwhelmed Canada at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games.

The South American team simply dominated Canada at the Estadio Bicentenario in La Florida, winning by a clear 10-0.

The Argentinians controlled the ball and the scoring opportunities throughout the entire match, scoring goals at the 8th, 10th, 26th, and 28th minutes of the first half, with goals from Bautista Suárez, Duncan Coronel, Rodrigo Lugrin, and Carlos Carrizo.

Argentina's dominance was so evident that the Argentinian goalkeeper Matías Salvat had no interventions due to any North American attacks.

The second half only saw an increase in the score by Argentina, which had almost 90 percent ball control. Lugrin scored his second goal at the 37th minute, while Billordo and Bassi, twice, along with Ocanto, sealed the 10-0 victory.

Argentina, asserting their claim for the gold, will face Chile in the last match of CP Football.
