Much of the work currently being done is invisible to the eyes of the city, however, as of today, the most important legacy of the 2023 Santiago Games opens for all.
The same place where the athletes will live for the duration of the competitions, was the stage where the main actors met and got involved in the process of tender launching for the construction of the Pan and Para Pan American. The long-awaited dream of thousands of athletes from America, begins to be tangible for the rest of the city and the country in the District of Cerrillos, Santiago.

This agreement marks the initial milestone of the Games, since the Village will be the central point of the event. Located in a park with green areas and recreational spaces already consolidated, and with an imposing view of the Andes Mountains, the Villa will be connected to the main highways of Santiago, a few steps from the Metro and only 15 minutes from the city center .It is a 6-hectare site, with 1,137 apartments, which will house about 10,000 people, including athletes, technical bodies and leaders.
The temporary infrastructure will extend for nine hectares during the operation of the Games. Once the event is over, they will be converted into social housing that will provide a solution to 61.5% of the needs of the Cerrillos disctrict.
The winner of this bidding process will be announced in December.
