Speed Skating: Colombia Dominated the Female’s 10,000 Meters Elimination

Fabiana Arias and Gabriela Rueda won the gold and silver medals, respectively.

Sunday, November 5th, 2023.- The first final of the speed skating competition at the Pan American Games this Sunday was the Female's 10,000 Meters Elimination event, featuring 11 athletes.

Colombia secured the top two spots in the competition, which took place at the Patinódromo at the Estadio Nacional.

On the last day of Santiago 2023, Fabiana Arias clinched the gold medal with a time of 17:16.877.

Meanwhile, the silver medal went to her fellow countrywoman, Gabriela Rueda, with a time of 17:47.448.

The bronze medal was earned by the Ecuadorian athlete Gabriela Vargas, with a time of 17:47.638.

The only Chilean athlete in the final, Javiera San Martín, was eliminated in fifth place.
