With great joy and motivation for what can be achieved with a joint work, the Executive Director of the Santiago 2023 Corporation, Felipe De Pablo, and the Metropolitan Regional Director of the National Institute of Sport (IND), Luis Oliva, signed a collaboration agreement which main objective is to integrate the efforts and capacities of both organizations to carry out joint actions that aim to promote active life in the community.
The idea is to encourage and facilitate physical activity in children and young people participating in the different sports programs designed by the Government of Chile, from its recreational to high-performance programs, implemented by the Regional Metropolitan Directorate (DRM) of the IND. In addition, it seeks to promote the processes associated with the development, promotion, broadcasting and organization of the Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games.
On the occasion, the director of the Santiago 2023 Corporation, Felipe De Pablo, referred to the importance of the community in organizing this great event. "Santiago 2023 is owned by everyone and the community is one of the fundamental pillars of the Games. Every work we do, we do it thinking about bringing this great multisport event to all Chileans, so generating alliances and collaboration with the entities with which we share these objectives, is key to us".
On the other hand, the Regional Metropolitan Director of the IND, Luis Oliva, commented that "there is a milestone in national sport that is Santiago 2023. The idea in this line is to work together with the Corporation through the regional direction of the IND to promote the games and empower the entire community. No Chilean should be left without understanding what Santiago 2023 is."
The collaborative work and participation of all Chileans in the development of the Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games, are part of the label that the Organizing Corporation wants to give to this event, which seeks to set a precedent in the sporting history of our country.
