More than 1346 apartments will be used by the delegations of 41 countries and then be delivered as social housing to the Cerrillos District, as part of the Social and Territorial Integration projects of the Minvu. The Village is one of the most important legacies of President Sebastián Piñera and Santiago 2023, and will have accommodation for more than 8000 athletes and coaching staff.
The Pan-American Village considers 2 lots for housing development, a pedestrian promenade that seeks to connect the subway with the park and provide services to housing developments.
In addition, it is part of "Ciudad Parque Bicentenario", an urban-housing megaproject promoted by the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism that considers 250 hectares of services, an urban park, a civic center and a cultural development pole, where 3 projects are already located in socially integrated housing works.
What will the Village be like? The execution of a Pan-American Walk is contemplated as an urban project with Legacy characteristics, having Lot 3 owned by SERVIU Metropolitano in Ciudad Parque Bicentenario, Cerrillos district.
“Ciudad Parque Bicentenario” is located in the south-west sector of the city of Santiago, in the Cerrillos district. In a period of 20 years, it aims to house about 16 800 families (60 000 inhabitants).
At the beginning of the second semester of 2021, once the feasibility, building and environmental permits have been obtained, the works for the execution of the Pan American Village 2023 can begin. The maximum construction time will be 24 months, which is part of the Santiago 2023 deadlines.
The Pan American and Parapan American dream continues!
