Wednesday, November 1st.- The male's 110-meter hurdles event crowned the Brazilian Eduardo Rodrigues as the Pan American gold medalist on Wednesday at the National Stadium.
On a cold and rainy night that wasn't conducive to breaking records, the new champion clocked a time of 13.67 seconds, improving on his performance in Lima 2019, where he won the bronze.
The silver medal in Santiago 2023 went to the American De'Vion Wilson, with a time of 13.78 seconds. The podium was completed by another Brazilian, Rafael Campos, with a time of 14.04 seconds.
Chilean Martín Sáenz finished in fourth place and narrowly missed a spot on the podium by just one hundredth of a second (14.05 seconds).
With this victory, Rodrigues confirms that he is one of the best athletes in the 110-meter hurdles in the region, and he has accumulated extensive experience in recent years, participating in the 2019 World Championships in Doha, the Ibero-American Cup in La Nucía (Spain) in 2022, the South American Games in Paraguay in 2022, and the South American Games in Sao Paulo in 2023.
