The record for Chilean athletes in a Paralympic Games was in Rio 2006, when the delegation reached 15 competitors. A goal that the Chilean Paralympic Committee (COPACHI) wants to surpass: the projection is 20. While the instances to continue adding more athletes arrive, the country slots were already associated to the para-athletes that have made it, since it is very difficult that another athlete may occupy them in the time remaining for the Paralympic event.

The qualified Chileans so far are:

Tamara Leonelli, in Para table tennis.  She obtained the qualification by achieving the gold in Lima 2019. Her team partner Cristian González also obtained the personal slot after the gold medal in Lima 2019. The list for para table tennis is closed with Luis Flores, who occupies the eighth place in the World Ranking at the moment of the qualifiers closure.

Francisca Mardones in Para athletics, which she obtains for winning the gold in Shot put in the Dubai World Championship, also with a world record in the test. Also included is Katherine Wollermann in para-canoeing, for winning the bronze medal in the Czech Republic 2017 World Championship.

The multiple medallist from the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games, swimmer Alberto Abarza, won his ticket to Tokyo 2020 after winning the silver in the London 2019 World Championship in the S2 200 m freestyle. His teammate Vicente Almonacid will join him for achieving the qualification mark in the London 2019 World Championship in S8 100m breaststroke. 

The momentary list is closed, for now, by Mariana Zuñiga, from Para archery, after positioning herself among the top two in the Mexico 2021 Pan American Championship.
