Bolivia secures two new medals in racquetball at Santiago 2023

Conrrado Moscoso and Carlos Keller Vargas advanced to the semifinals at the Centro Deportivo de las Raquetas and will face the Mexican representatives in pursuit of an unprecedented final.

Monday, October 23rd.- Responding to his status as the world's number 1 and defending Pan American champion, Conrrado Moscoso advanced smoothly to the racquetball semifinals, defeating Costa Rican Andrés Acuña (11-1, 11-6, and 15-13) and securing another medal for Bolivia at Santiago 2023.

"I am happy because we took an important step," said Moscoso, who had already reached this stage in mixed doubles and will now add another medal in singles, where his compatriot Carlos Keller also advanced. Keller defeated the Canadian Samuel Murray in the last quarterfinal match.

In this discipline, there is no contest for the third-place finish, so Bolivia is guaranteed two bronze medals, depending on how Moscoso and Keller perform against Mexicans Eduardo Portillo and Rodrigo Montoya later today.

"I am very happy; this is the first medal I have achieved in singles, so I am very excited. I also congratulate Conrrado, my teammate. I hope we both make it to the final as Bolivians," emphasized Keller.

Quarterfinal Results:

Conrrado Moscoso (BOL) defeated Andrés Acuña (CRC), 3-0
Eduardo Portillo (MEX) defeated Daniel de la Rosa (USA), 3-2
Rodrigo Montoya (MEX) defeated Adam Manilla (USA), 3-2
Carlos Keller (BOL) defeated Samuel Murray (CAN), 3-1
