This Friday, the Santiago 2023 Corporation received an encouraging visit from the President of Panam Sports, Neven Ilic, who arrived to the offices of the organizing committee for the next edition of the most important multisport event in the Americas.

On this occasion, the Chilean authority got to know the new offices of the Corporation and held a work meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the Games, Felipe De Pablo; and the directors of upper management who are in charge of the different functional areas of the Organizing Committee, Sports, Infrastructure, Operations, Administration and Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Commercial and Marketing, Broadcast and Communications.

The head of the Pan American organization that groups the Olympic Committees of the continent gave a positive feedback, ensuring that “it is extremely gratifying to see the progress, the team growth, how well they are set up and the work they are doing. This is not an easy job, with lots of areas of interest”.

Additionally, he mentioned that the milestones and deadlines are being complied with and the Chilean sport party for all the countries in the Americas will be done fulfilling all the requirements of the governing entity. “With what I was able to gather from the meeting we held, in the reports delivered, we in Panam Sports are very happy with the progress of the organization of the Games. This is not an easy task, that requires large teams, with lots of coordinations”, declared Neven Ilic.

Furthermore, and with the kindness that characterizes him and the team he leads, Neven offered all the support to the local team explaining that “we are at the disposition of the organization to help out in whatever is needed. What the Corporation is doing so far makes us very happy”.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Santiago 2023, Felipe De Pablo, assured after the meeting that “it is very satisfying to be able to receive the President of the governing entity in the offices where our collaborators are preparing the largest and most important multisport event in the Americas. I am sure that on this occasion, it is a supporting and motivational moment that helps us to continue working hard facing the last 2 years prior to the Games”.

Panam Sports, along with the Corporation and all the Olympic Committees are preparing themselves for the maximum sports event in the Junior category, to be held from November 25th to December 5th in the first Pan American Junior Cali 2021, in Colombia.
