We’re two days away from the climax of the most important tournament in Central America, which received the best level of the region with an organization and results that achieved the expectations. Mexico already got the position of favorite with more than 275 total medals and 116 gold medals so far and it was followed by Colombia (with more than 190 total medals), Cuba (54 medals), and Venezuela in fourth place (with a total of 121 medals), it seemed like nothing could go better.
However, the one who stole the cameras, one more time, making the public and spectators of the Games buzz, was the Olympic medalist and world record holder Yulimar Rojas, who without much effort and in her first attempt in the triple jump event, managed to break the Central American record held by the historic Colombian Caterine Ibargüen (14.92 in Barranquilla 2018), also ensuring her direct pass to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

From the Estadio Nacional Jorge “El Mágico” González, located in San Salvador, the Venezuelan female representative, who has become a new athletic legend after winning the first Olympic gold of her country turned on the international cameras with her Paris 2024 qualification and the confirmation of her attendance to our #Santiago2023 Pan American Games. There, she pretends to keep improving her numbers until breaking her last absolute world record of 15.74 meters.
With that confirmation, the illusion to receive the best athletics world referents becomes even more real, and an outstanding competition is expected with the best American and Olympic level of the king sport.
