Panam Sports is proud to announce the 11 new members of Team Panam Sports who will inspire millions of people this October at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
These exceptional athletes are champions and medalists in the world’s most important events from the Olympic and Pan American Games to World Championships. They are recognized worldwide for their determination, skill and incredible performances, but also for embodying Olympic values both on and off the field of play.
The 2023 edition of Team Panam Sports is led by Alejandra Orozco (Diving - Mexico), Rebeca Andrade (Artistic Gymnastics - Brazil), Maggie Mac Neil (Swimming - Canada), Daniel Dhers (BMX Freestyle - Venezuela), Mijain Lopez (Wrestling - Cuba), Anderson Peters (Athletics - Grenada), Agustina Albertario (Hockey - Argentina), Marileidy Paulino (Athletics - Dominican Republic), Angelo Caro (Skateboarding - Peru) and the duo of Marco and Esteban Grimalt (Beach Volleyball - Chile).
These 11 superstars have combined to earn an incredible 15 Olympic medals, 41 medals at world championships and 14 medals at the Pan American Games. Now they set their sights on competing at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games while not only representing their countries but also the entirety of the Americas as ambassadors of Team Panam Sports. They will show millions that sport lives in all of us as they strive to achieve greatness and prove that anyone, with hard work and dedication, can become a champion.

THE STARS OF TEAM PANAM SPORTS
Maggie Mac Neil (Swimming - Canada)
Olympic Champion in the 100m butterfly, silver medalist in the 4x100m freestyle relay and bronze in the 4x100m medley relay at Tokyo 2020. She is a World Champion at Gwangju 2019 and 7-time World Champion in short course events. She is the current World Record holder for the short course 100m butterfly event.
Rebeca Andrade (Artistic Gymnastics - Brazil)
Olympic champion in the vault and silver medalist in all-around at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. World Champion in the vault at Kitakyushu 2021 and in all-around at Liverpool 2022.
Alejandra Orozco (Diving - Mexico)
Silver medalist in 10m synchronized at the London 2012 Olympics and bronze medalist in the same event at Tokyo 2020. She is also a 3-time medalist at the Pan American Games.
Daniel Dhers (BMX Freestyle - Venezuela)
Silver Medalist in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Pan American Champion in Lima 2019 and 5-time X Games Champion.
Anderson Peters (Athletics - Grenada)
Two-time World Champion in the Javelin Throw and the reigning Pan American Games Champion from Lima 2019.
Agustina Albertario (Field Hockey - Argentina)
Silver medalist in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the 2022 Field Hockey World Cup. Reigning Pan American Games Champion from Lima 2019 and a silver medalist at Toronto 2015.
Marileidy Paulino (Athletics - Dominican Republic)
Two-time Olympic silver medalist in Athletics in the 400m and the 4x400m mixed relay at Tokyo 2020. She is the 2022 Diamond League Champion and World Champion in the 4x400m mixed relay at Eugene 2022 where she also won the silver medal in the 400m.
Angelo Caro (Skateboarding - Peru)
Olympic Finalist at Tokyo 2020 who finished in 5th place. He is the Urban World Series Champion at Spain 2022 and the silver medalist at the Cali 2021 Junior Pan American Games.
Mijain Lopez (Wrestling - Cuba)
He is the most outstanding Cuban athlete in history. He’s a 4-time Olympic champion, a 5-time World Champion and he’s won 5 consecutive gold medals at the Pan American Games.
Marco and Esteban Grimalt (Beach Volleyball - Chile)
Currently ranked in the Top-8 in the world. They are the reigning Pan American Games Champions from Lima 2019 and South American Games Champion at Asuncion 2022.
