On Monday, July 3rd, BancoEstado and the Santiago 2023 Corporation sealed an important strategic alliance. The ceremony in which this agreement was made official took place at the headquarters of the financial institution, a few steps from the Palacio de la Moneda, in the heart of downtown Santiago.
The event was attended by important authorities, including Harold Mayne-Nicholls, Chief Executive Officer of Santiago 2023; Óscar González, BancoEstado General Manager; Jaime Pizarro, Minister of Sports; Neven Ilic, President of Panam Sports; Miguel Ángel Mujica, President of the Chilean Olympic Committee; and Antonia Illanes, Undersecretary of Sports.
BancoEstado arrived at Santiago 2023 as a sponsor, although within the agreement there are also some benefits for customers of the financial institution regarding the process of purchasing tickets, which will begin on July 12th.

Óscar González, BancoEstado General Manager, was pleased with the agreement signed, stating that "I’m sure it’ll be a great and very important sport event, and that is why we’re very happy to be able to accompany them. We’re an institution that allows reaching all Chilean people so they can have the opportunity to attend these Pan American and Parapan American Games.”
The Sports Minister, Jaime Pizarro, added that “this is a significant agreement, on the one hand, because BancoEstado allows such a significant territorial deployment and, on the other hand, to provide benefits to the Bank's customers. It is a very valuable step”.
Harold Mayne-Nicholls, Chief Executive Officer of Santiago 2023, valued the arrival of the financial institution as a sponsor, taking advantage of the opportunity to call on “hopefully more companies will want to follow and walk this great route of the Pan American and Parapan American Games together with us. It’s very important to have a company like BancoEstado on our side, participating actively.”
