Currently, all restrictions have been lifted in our country, both for the entry of foreigners and for traveling abroad. Chilean citizens, resident foreigners and non-resident foreigners (tourists) entering from abroad are randomly tested.
For this reason, nothing is required. However, it’s always advisable to come with the vaccination plan of your country of origin up to date.
In case of a positive result of Covid-19, people must be isolated for five days. In the case of non-resident foreign tourists, they may enter the country with the vaccination certificate issued by the country where they were vaccinated, in addition to their identity document.
Those not vaccinated must present a PCR test with a negative result within 48 hours since departure to Chile.
Health insurance is not mandatory. However, it’s recommended to travel with one that has coverage for SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19).
In spite of the low restrictions, it is important that we all continue to take care of ourselves. If you feel any symptoms of Covid-19, get a PCR and wear a mask out of respect for others.
There are Covid detection and vaccination centers in the country, in various public health centers as well as in private centers.
