Sunday, November 26th, 2023.- 
The day began early in Isla de Maipo, located about 40 kilometers south of the Chilean capital. The tranquil town brought together cyclists from one of the two sports delivering medals on this final day of Santiago 2023: Para cycling in its road modality. 

In the morning's first trial, Brazilian Bianca Canovas Garcia clinched gold with a time of 2:06:36 in the female's road race category B, designed for tandems with visually impaired or blind riders accompanied by a sighted pilot. Silver went to Argentina, with María Agustina Cruceño, and bronze to her compatriot María José Quiroga. 

In the male's category B race, the gold went to Maximiliano Gómez from Argentina, clocking in at 2:03:31. Silver was secured by Colombian Nelson Cerda, and bronze by Chilean Matías Mansilla. 

The male's H3-5 category road race (handcycles for athletes with spinal cord injuries or amputations unable to use their legs for pedaling) was won by the USA's Alfredo de los Santos with a time of 1:42:53. Second and third place also went to Americans Eric Pinney and Brandon Lyons, respectively. 

The female's race, category H2-5, was conquered by Brazil's Jady Martins, recording a time of 1:32:42. The silver medal went to Katerina Brim from the USA, and bronze to her compatriot Jenna Rollman. 

The first set of competitions at Isla de Maipo concluded with the Mixed Road Race, category T1-2 (tricycles for cyclists whose disability affects their balance), won by American Dennis Connors, clocking in at 56:55, followed by Colombian Juan José Betancourt and Canadian Nathan Clement.
