Saturday, November 25th, 2023.- One of the sports where the United States historically excels is wheelchair basketball, and at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games, they were no exception, dominating from start to finish. 

The current world champions added another joy to their eternal record, securing the gold medal at the continental event and, in the process, earning their ticket to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. 

The Americans faced no opposition in the final held at the Polideportivo 1 of the Estadio Nacional, where they triumphed with a clear 81-45 victory over Colombia. 

The standout player in the Chilean court was the American Jacob Williams, who shone by scoring 24 points. 

Thus, the United States claimed the gold, Colombia took home the silver (along with qualification for the Paris 2024 repechage), and Canada secured the bronze in male's wheelchair basketball.
