The United States Takes the “One-Two-Three” in Female's 100m T64

Beatriz Hatz led the gold, silver, and bronze medal tally for her country at Santiago 2023.

Satuday, November 25th, 2023.- Beatriz Hatz, from the United States, is the new Parapan American champion in the 100 meters for the T64 category (physical disability in lower limbs that compete with prosthetics), with a time of 13.41 seconds. 

"I didn't like my time, but I still won. I am very proud to represent the United States and win outside my country. It's always great to bring a victory to my homeland and see our flag waving in Chile," said the champion of Santiago 2023. 

The second and third places also went to the United States: Sidney Barta clocked 13.48 seconds to take the silver, and Catherine Carey claimed the bronze with a time of 13.89 seconds. 

Fourth and fifth place went to Puerto Rico with Yaimillie Díaz (13.97 seconds) and Amaris Vásquez (14.93 seconds), respectively, while the sixth position was for the Peruvian Shirley Meléndez (16.66 seconds).
