Parapan American Program: Saturday of Finals and Farewells at Santiago 2023

On the penultimate day of competitions, the spotlight is on the conclusion of Para athletics, wheelchair basketball, and football for both the physically challenged CP and the visually impaired.

Saturday, November 25th, 2023.- The penultimate day of competitions at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games stands out for the conclusion of Para athletics, where 24 track and field finals will be decided at the Centro Atlético Mario Recordón, starting at 3:00 p.m. local time.

Male wheelchair basketball will also determine its medalists. The bronze medal match will be played at 2:30 p.m., featuring Canada against Argentina, while the gold medal clash will take place at 5:00 p.m., with Colombia facing the United States. Both matches will be held at the Polideportivo 1 at the National Stadium.

Boccia will also award medals for teams and pairs (matches starting at 9:30 a.m.), while wheelchair tennis will do the same (from 11:00 a.m.) in the male's individual and quad mixed doubles categories.

Another discipline crowning Parapan American champions is taekwondo, with fights starting at 10:00 a.m., although the finals begin at 6:00 p.m. with the male -80 kg category; at 6:12 p.m., it's the turn of the female +65 kg, while the male +80 kg clash will be at 6:24 p.m.

Blind football will determine the bronze medal at 6:00 p.m., with the match between Chile and Argentina, while at 8:00 p.m., Brazil and Colombia will face off for the gold. Both finals will take place at the Centro de Deportes Paralímpicos.

Finally, in CP football, at the Estadio Bicentenario de La Florida, the United States will meet Venezuela at 5:00 p.m. for the bronze medal, while Brazil and Argentina will clash for the gold at 7:30 p.m.
