United States and Brazil Celebrate in Para Track Cycling

Samantha Bosco and Lauro Moro won gold medals at the Velódromo Peñalolén.

Friday, November 24th, 2023.- Para cycling on the track at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games came to an end with joy for the United States and Brazil, both countries claiming the top spot on the podium at the Velódromo Peñalolén.

In the C4-5 category of the female's individual pursuit over 3,000 meters, the winner was the American Samantha Bosco, setting a Parapan American record with a time of 3:45.752. Consequently, the silver went to the Canadian Keely Toles (3:47.005).

Finally, in the C4-5 male's individual pursuit over 4,000 meters, the champion was the Brazilian Lauro Moro, with a time of 4:30.741, surpassing the Colombian Carlos Vargas Villanueva (4:38.286).

With this, Para track cycling at Santiago 2023 concluded, with the United States being the team that won the most gold medals, totaling four, followed by Colombia and Canada with two each.
