Chile Secures the Bronze in Wheelchair Tennis Doubles

The Chilean duo composed of Alexander Cataldo and Brayan Tapia secured a victory against the Americans Casey Ratzlaff and Conner Stroud at the Court Central of the Estadio Nacional.

Friday, November 24th, 2023.- Team ParaChile secured another bronze at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games, celebrating at the Court Central of the Estadio Nacional. Alexander Cataldo and Brayan Tapia stood on the podium, finishing in third place in the male's wheelchair tennis event.

The local tennis players added another medal to the Chilean delegation's tally by defeating the Americans Casey Ratzlaff and Conner Stroud with a score of 6-3 and 6-3 in one hour and 31 minutes of play.

Thanks to Cataldo and Tapia's victory, Team ParaChile reached a total of 43 medals, including 14 gold, 18 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

But this isn't the last we'll see of the Chilean Cataldo. On Saturday, November 25th, he will face the final of the male's singles against the Argentinian Gustavo Fernández, the top favorite to win the gold due to his extensive track record. The match is scheduled to take place after 3:30 p.m.
