Wheelchair Tennis: Leandro Pena Wins Bronze Medal

The Brazilian won in two sets against his compatriot Ymanitu Silva in the Quad Singles (Mixed).

Friday, November 24th, 2023.- In a match between two Brazilians competing for the bronze medal, Leandro Pena defeated Ymanitu Silva 6-2 and 7(7)-7 in the Quad Singles (Mixed) at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games. On Friday, in the first match on the Grandstand court at the Centro Deportivo de Tenis, Pena emerged victorious after an hour and 34 minutes of play.

In the semi-finals, Leandro Pena lost to Chilean Francisco Cayulef, while in the same stage, Ymanitu Silva was defeated by Canadian Robert Shaw.

It's worth noting that the gold in this category went to Francisco Cayulef, who defeated Robert Shaw in the final with a score of 6-3, 5-7, and 6-4 in two hours and 19 minutes of play.
