This Friday, in the semifinal of the female's Singles SL4 category, she overcame Peruvian Jenny Ventocilla in a two-to-one set victory, with scores of 21-16, 11-21, and 21-11 in 37 minutes of play.

"I was very nervous about this match, and only in the third set, after a key point, did I loosen up more and was able to finish the match well," said the Brazilian athlete.

"Now I will focus entirely on winning the gold medal," stated the victor, who is making her debut in the Parapan American Games and has only dropped one set in five matches.
