Parapan American Program: Friday of Medals in Santiago 2023

Wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, taekwondo, swimming, athletics, and track cycling will have decisive days this Friday, three days before the conclusion of the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games.

Friday, November 24th, 2023.- A decisive day awaits the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games this Friday. With three days remaining until the closing of Santiago 2023, the day is packed with medal events and ceremonies in the most representative events of Paralympic sports. 

The athletics events at the Mario Recordón Athletic Center in the Estadio Nacional will take the lead, starting at 3:00 p.m. local time and continuing until 9:00 p.m., featuring jumps, throws, and track competitions. 

Simultaneously, the velodrome within the main venue will host track cycling, including six finals in pursuit and individual time trials. The Centro Acuático will be the venue for the finals in 18 categories. 

Meanwhile, wheelchair basketball will award its first medals in the female's category, while the male will compete in semifinals at the Polideportivo 1: Canada will face Colombia and the United States will play against Argentina starting at 10:30 a.m. Additionally, goalball will have its four finals, playing for bronze and gold, in both female's and male's categories. 

Finally, tennis will feature bronze and gold medal matches in the quad mixed singles, male's doubles, and female's singles at the Centro Deportivo de Tenis; while taekwondo will award medals in male's (-63kg and -70kg) and female's categories (-57kg and -65kg) at the Centro de Deportes de Combate."
