Thursday, November 23rd, 2023.- The Canadian wheelchair basketball team achieved a commendable victory against Argentina in the female's competition, securing their place in the final.
A 40-point difference separated the Canadians from their South American rivals in the final score, a 76-36 result that is fully justified based on what was seen on the court at the Polideportivo 1 of Estadio Nacional.
With a higher field goal percentage and scoring 14 points from free throws out of a total of 20 attempts, Canada showcased all their experience in this stage.
The North Americans won all quarters, and by a wide margin. Argentina was only briefly ahead in the score at the beginning of the first quarter, with a 4-2 lead for the South Americans. From then on, Canadian dominance was absolute.
The opponent for the North Americans will be determined by the winner of the match between the United States and Brazil.
