Para Track Cycling: Day Concludes with Gold For The USA, Colombia

In the female's individual pursuit 3,000m B, American Hannah Chadwick-Dias emerged victorious, while in the same event for male, the 4,000m individual pursuit, Colombian Nelson Serna finished in first place.

Thursday, November 23rd, 2023.- With victories for the United States and Colombia in the individual pursuit class B (tandem, for athletes with visual disabilities), the first day of track cycling at Santiago 2023 concluded. 

In the 3,000 meters women's event, American Hannah Chadwick-Dias clocked a time of 3:41.632, winning the final against Argentina's María José Quiroga, who finished in 3:47.818. 

In the battle for third place, Brazilian Bianca Canovas (3:58.186) secured the bronze by defeating Argentina's María Agustina Cruceño (4:06.580). 

In the men's 4,000 meters, Colombian Nelson Serna claimed the gold with a time of 4:22.632, defeating Argentina's Maximiliano Gómez (4:28.968). 

The bronze went to Argentina's Raúl Villalba, who overtook American Michael Stephens to secure the podium spot.
