Thursday, November 23rd, 2023.- The Para badminton event of Santiago 2023 is hosted at the Centro de Entrenamiento Olímpico, where Chilean athlete Jaime Aránguiz has stood out. 

This Thursday, the local representative secured his second victory at the Parapan American Games, defeating Brazilian José Ambrosio Chaves 2-0. The first game ended 21-17 in 16 minutes, and the second was 21-7 in 16 minutes. 

"The first set was strategic because I never enter overconfident. I always try to play with the opponent's mind, gradually gaining an advantage. And here in the second set, there was more of a difference," said the winner. 

Jaime Aránguiz added, "The support of the audience was important, and I appreciate it. I had never played a tournament in Chile with the crowd on my side... I hope to finish first in my group, where there are four players, to go for a medal."
