Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.- The United States secured the last spot in the semi-finals of male's wheelchair basketball at Santiago 2023 by defeating Chile at the Estadio Nacional's Polideportivo 1. The North American team, which won the gold medal in the same event at Lima 2019, convincingly beat the host country by 88-14. 

The standout player of the game was the American Jorge Salazar, who shone by scoring 19 points for his team. Now, the United States will face Argentina in the semifinals on Friday, November 24, starting at 12:45 p.m. 

Meanwhile, the local team will have to settle for competing for secondary positions, specifically between the fifth and eighth places.
