Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.- Without a doubt, the United States is one of the contenders for the gold medal in these Santiago 2023 Games, and today it lived up to that credential by the letter after easily defeating Colombia in the quarterfinals of goalball at the Paralympic Sports Center of the National Stadium. 

The standout player of the match was Russell Calahan Young, who with five goals guided his team to another victory, which began with an early goal in the first minute of the game. With the score tied 2-2 in the first half, the United States had a very good reaction and scored 9 consecutive goals to establish the final score of 11-2.
