He defeated the American Eric Bennett 6-2 on the last day of competition at Santiago 2023.

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.- The last gold medal of this Wednesday in Para archery, on the final day of the development of this discipline within the framework of Santiago 2023, went to Mexico through Samuel Molina.

At the Centro de Tiro con Arco in Peñalolen, the winner defeated the American Eric Bennett 6-2 in the Male Recurve Open category, securing the gold medal around his neck.

Twenty minutes earlier, the match for the bronze medal had taken place, which ultimately went to the Colombian Héctor Ramírez, after defeating the Brazilian Heriberto Roca 6-2.

This Wednesday saw five more finals in this discipline, and the top performers were Daniela Campos (from Peru, in Female Recurve Open), Tracy Otto (from the United States in Female W1), Eugenio Franco (from Brazil in Male W1), Kevin Polish (from the United States in Male Compound Open), and Pilar Riveros (from Costa Rica in Female Compound Open).

It is worth noting that in both categories of the discipline (recurve and compound open), athletes face significant limitations in trunk activity and lower extremities. Many of them are wheelchair users.
