Para Archery: Peru Wins Gold in Female's Recurve Open

Daniela Campos defeated the Colombian Mónica Daza 6-0, who settled for the silver medal.

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.- The penultimate definition of this Wednesday in Para archery remained in the hands of Peru. At the Centro de Tiro con Arco, a venue located in the Peñalolén commune. 

The representative of that country, Daniela Campos, convincingly defeated Colombian Mónica Daza 6-0 in the Female's Recurve Open event. 

Meanwhile, the bronze medal match was won by the American Candice Caesar, who defeated Mexican Karen Rocha 6-4. 

Earlier, the gold medal winners of the day were the American Tracy Otto (in Female W1), her compatriot Kevin Polish (in Male's Compound Open), the Costa Rican Pilar Riveros (in Female's Compound Open), and the Brazilian Eugenio Franco (in Male W1). 

It is worth noting that in both categories of the discipline (recurve and compound open), athletes have a significant limitation in trunk activity and lower limbs. Many of them are wheelchair users.
