The Central American's performance had just a one-point difference from Chilean Mariana Zúñiga's score, as Zúñiga began closing the gap towards the end of the competition.
The bronze medal went to American Wendy Gardner, who won in an arrow-for-arrow tiebreaker against Colombian Yasneide Peñaranda after both scored 131 points.
Earlier, Brazilian Eugenio Franco secured gold in the male's category, and American Tracy Otto claimed victory in the female's event.
