A new day of Para Archery began this Wednesday with a gold medal for the United States team, currently standing second in the medal tally with 64 medals, including 22 golds.

Tracy Otto claimed the top spot in the early hours of the W1 female's competition held at the Centro de Tiro con Arco in Peñalolén. The American athlete scored 101 points, securing the first position and leaving Chile's Mariela López in second place with the silver medal, scoring 83 points.

On this Wednesday, the seventh day of competition at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games, Para archery features several competitions: male, compound open female, compound open male, recurve open female, and recurve open male.

It's worth noting that the W1 category in this discipline includes archers with moderately limited coordination, very limited range of movement, or limb absence.
