Tuesday, November 21st, 2023.- Wheelchair basketball at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games has entered its decisive stage, and this Tuesday, Brazil advanced to the next round in the female's bracket.
The powerful South American team has entered the competition for medals by securing a spot in the semifinals of the event taking place at Estadio Nacional’s Polideportivo 1.
Brazil had a smooth morning on the court in the Ñuñoa commune, defeating the El Salvador team convincingly with a score of 78-9.
The standout player for the green and yellow team was Vileide Almeida, who scored a total of 24 points.
Brazil advanced to the semi-finals in second place in Group A with five points, following the leader Canada, which secured six points with a clean sweep. Colombia (4) and El Salvador (3) were eliminated.
In the semifinal series, both Canada and Brazil await their opponents, with the expectation that the qualifiers from Group B will be the United States and Argentina, respectively.
