Para Archery: Mexican Samuel Molina Reaches Recurve Bow Final

In the Peñalolén commune, this sport at the Parapan American Games is underway, with the North American being the standout in his category.

Monday, November 20th, 2023.- The Centro de Tiro con Arco, located in the Peñalolén commune, was buzzing with activity early on for the Parapan American Games.

And Mexican Samuel Molina was pleased as he secured a spot in the final of the recurve bow after defeating Brazilian Heriberto Roca 4-2 in the semifinals. However, he also took time for self-critique.

"I am happy with what I have achieved so far, but I need to work on handling nerves during competition to perform well in the final. The feeling that arises on the line makes it challenging to enjoy as expected and starts causing issues with every shot," expressed the North American.

In this regard, he assured, "I acknowledge that I need to master that, so I must work harder on that aspect with psychologists."

Molina, who broke the Parapan American Games record during the qualifying stage with a score of 642, added, "The next goal after Santiago 2023 is the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024."
