Brazilian athletes showed their strength this Saturday, demonstrating their ambition to become the five-time champions of the continental event, a title they've held since Rio de Janeiro 2007.
The Brazilians secured a total of 46 medals, including 19 gold, 14 silver, and 13 bronze. They excelled in Para Swimming, clinching 10 first-place finishes.
There's a tie for second place in the medal tally, with both Argentina and Colombia boasting 14 medals each, including five gold, five silver, and seven bronze.
Meanwhile, the host country Chile had a great first day, earning a total of 13 podium positions: five gold, four silver, and four bronze medals.
