The host team showed strength at the Centro de Deportes Paralímpicos del Estadio Nacional, where they prevailed with a clear 8-4 victory over their counterparts from Mexico.
Josué Carvajal emerged as the standout player for the Chilean team, being the top scorer of the match with a total of five goals.
With this historic victory, Chile earned three points, equaling Brazil in Group A.
On Sunday, the second-round matches will take place, with Brazil facing Mexico at 3:15 PM, while the host team will take on Colombia at 5:45 p.m.
