The American team remained composed and ultimately triumphed with a narrow 5-3 victory at the Centro de Deportes Paralímpicos in Estadio Nacional, after initially trailing 3-2.

The standout player of the match was the representative from the United States, Amanda Dennis, who scored three times.

This places the United States at the top of Group D with three points. The group also includes the host Chile and Peru.
