Para Table Tennis Awards the First Medals for Chile

The first medal was bronze, and it was won by Armin Rosas in the male's Class 11.

Saturday, November 18th, 2023.- Armin Rosas secured the first medal for Team Para Chile in table tennis. 

Rosas fell to Brazilian Thiago Simoes by 3-1 in the semifinals in Class 11, thus winning the bronze medal in the competition. 

Following Rosas, it was Matías Pino's turn, who in Class 6 couldn't overcome North American Ian Seidenfeld in the semis and bid farewell to the pursuit of the gold medal. Rosas, who won gold in Toronto 2015, earned the second medal for Chile. 

The finals, featuring Chile and Brazil, commence at 1:00 p.m. At Lima 2019, Team Para Chile secured a total of 12 medals in the discipline, making it the sport that contributed the most to the medal count for the host country at that time.
