Sunday, November 5th, 2023.- At the time of assessment in Santiago 2023, Argentina and Brazil managed to stand out in an important aspect as they were the most successful countries in team sports at the Pan American Games.

Argentinians claimed victory in five disciplines, while Brazilians secured gold in four, making them the dominant forces in the Pan American Games.

The Argentinian teams won gold in male's and female's field hockey by defeating Chile and the United States, respectively.

In male's basketball, they overcame Venezuela, in Rugby 7, they defeated Chile, and in male's handball, they bested Brazil.

On the other hand, the Brazilians took the gold in men's volleyball by defeating Argentina, in men's football, they won in a penalty shootout against Chile (4-2), in female's handball against Argentina, and in female's basketball against Colombia.
