Saturday 4th November 2023.- Team sports have always been the strength of the Argentinian delegation in multi-sport events, and at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, there was even a surprise.

At the Gimnasio Polideportivo Viña del Mar, the Argentinian team surprised everyone by winning the male's handball final against Brazil, in one of the most thrilling matches of the tournament.

The Argentinian "Gladiators" arrived with the desire to defend the gold they won at Lima 2019, and they did so convincingly, defeating the Brazilians by 32-25.

The standout player in the Valparaíso region was the Argentinian goalkeeper, Juan Bar, who stopped 13 out of the 24 shots from the Brazilians.

As a result, Argentina takes home the gold medal, Brazil settles for silver, and Chile completes the podium with the bronze.
