Bowling Determines Male Semifinalists at the Pan American Games

After a long day, the Canadian Michel Hupe emerges as a key figure at the Centro de Bowling in La Florida.

Saturday 4th November 2023.- Bowling enters its final stretch, and on Saturday, the four male competitors who will vie for the gold medal at La Florida were determined.

The first qualifier was Canadian Michel Hupe with a score of 3650 points, who has led the competition for the past two days.

Second was Costa Rican representative Marco Moretti with 3545 points, and third was the American Aj Johnson with 3511.

The big surprise came from the Puerto Rican Cristián Azcona, who, with a spectacular comeback of more than 200 points, finished fourth with 3465 points and will compete for the gold medal at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

After his great performance, Azcona said, “I came with a completely different strategy than yesterday, and we changed the surface on some balls, which worked out magnificently for today.”

The gold medal showdown will take place on Sunday, starting at 12:00 p.m. local time.
